1917 Born in Jersey City, N.J.

1934 Worked as darkroom printer and apprentice photographer for Hearst Publications photo division, International News Photos, N.Y.C.

1936 Brother, Sam Shere, shoots prize winning Hindenburg Disaster photograph.

1938 Joined Hillman Periodicals, N.Y.C (Pulp Magazine Publisher) as studio photographer, illustrating stories and shooting covers.

1941 Enlisted in U.S. Army Signal Corp as Chief of Photo Division, Newport News, Virginia until war ended.

1946 Sent to Hollywood by Hillman Publications as west coast manager and photojournalist.

1946-1967 Photographed for various publications including Movieland, Pagaent and TV Magazine.

1967- 1970 Freelance photographer and for several years produced the annual history of the Academy Awards for the Motion Picture Academy.

1970’s Switches careers and works in advertising, non- photography related.

1990’s presently lives in Idyllwyld, CA. and works in advertising on the internet.
